However, not all of them adhere to the same rules and some may even sacrifice many of those elements in exchange for a different response from the fans, such as common sense for laughter.

Sam and Max: Abe Lincoln Must Die! is part of the successful point-and-click adventure series featuring the two unlikely detective as they try to solve various cases, while actually doing more harm than good in most situations. Thanks to the same well-written dialogue and a healthy dose of dark humor to go along with it, the experience should leave you somewhere between laughing hysterically and frowning in disgust.
This time around, the two buddies receive word that the president of the United States is in grave danger, which means that they need to do something about it quickly, before something awful happens. After they manage to sneak into the White House and get face-to-face with the president, something unforeseen happens and they might or might not be responsible for a nasty accident involving the supreme leader of the country. Hence, one thing leads to another and Abraham Lincoln gets to occupy the oval office once again.

Intriguing puzzles and plenty of funny scenes

What makes the series unique and worth playing is the extremely well-written dialogue between the two characters, with Max displaying the classic signs of a murderous psychopath and Sam trying to contain him, using puns and an assortment of clever one-liners. Moreover, the other characters that make an appearance are pretty fun as well, some of which should be quite well known, if you are familiar with the franchise.
In essence, the puzzles require you to come up with solutions to a variety of problems, although these solutions are not always the most obvious ones and it can take you a while to come up with the answer. However, fun is guaranteed to be had along the way, especially if you enjoy dark humor and a touch of sociopathic behavior.

Overall, Sam and Max: Abe Lincoln Must Die! truly delivers when it comes to the story, the humor and the puzzles, which is all you can ask for from an adventure game. However, due to the fact that the series is basically an episodic saga, the story is very short and you might find yourself wanting more after you are done with it.
