Video games were initially designed as entertainment for those who wanted to take a break from the real life and chase a few pixels around a screen. In time, the focus has shifted toward making the same people as frustrated and uncomfortable as possible, using punishing gameplay mechanics and hardcore levels designed to cause early onset dementia.

Keep the bird away from the obstacles

Super Flappy World 2 is a game inspired by Flappy Bird, and it uses the same gameplay mechanics to make the players lose their sanity as quickly as possible. However, there are notable differences between this version and the original, the most striking of which is the fact that you do not have to go on forever. In contrast, the game is split into stages, which means that you only have to survive a certain number of obstacles.
There is even a story going at it in the background, but it’s certainly not mandatory to follow it in order to complete the game. Your bird travels around an island, and each level takes place in a different part of it. Thanks to that, the environments change from one stage to the other, making it that much easier to keep going despite your better judgement.

Use the mouse or the keyboard to keep flapping

Unlike the mobile version where you had to tap on the screen to keep the bird in the air, you can use either the mouse or the keyboard in this version. Not only that, but it is even possible to go downward if you need to, although it is obviously not indicated to do so unless you really have to. Thankfully, the controls are snappy and responsive, which means that you’ll only die because of your own mistakes.
That doesn’t make it any better, on the other hand, because it is very easy to make mistakes. Each missed click or extra click can send you right into an obstacles, and it gets a lot more difficult later on. However, you are allowed to choose the easy mode, which grants you the ability to survive one encounter with the environment, as long as it’s not the floor or the ceiling.

Colorful visual design and creative levels

In the end, Super Flappy World 2 is about as stressful and annoying as you might expect from a Flappy Bird clone, but it is a lot more enjoyable for some reason. Part of it is probably because the levels end rather quickly, although it is also because you get to move on and see other environments.
