Description
Suicide Mouse is intended to be a neat little arcade game with a simple goal meant to be enjoyed by anyone regardless of age. It’s a simple game in which you, a mouse, have to collect an unknown number of cheese pieces from a previously unexplored maze before you die.
Simple graphics that are just decent
From a first glance at the main menu of the game, you will know not to expect anything special from it. The game is designed using a blend of good quality resolution elements and some pretty low ones as well.
In ensemble, Suicide Mouse isn’t a bad looking game. It’s just strange to see that the maze’s looks are fairly decent while the main star of the game, the mouse, is a dark gray pixelated circle with a tale.
Controls that are meant to challenge and annoy you at the same time
Since to pass a round you need to quickly collect all the cheese pieces, you’d think that the game is fitted with some simple and accurate controls. The first part is correct though, you only use the arrow keys to guide the mouse but turning is something entirely different.
Sharp turns aren’t the mouse's specialty. At times it takes you a bit to master a simple turn and if you’re unlucky enough, you might just get stuck on a corner, or on a simple wall. Apparently, running alongside a straight wall and slightly bumping into it, makes the mouse stop completely.
A game that’s for dire situations of boredom
As far as simple arcade games go, Suicide Mouse is a decent choice. It’s easy to play but difficult at the same time since you have to collect all the cheese pieces before the mouse dies, and you have no clue as to when that happens. On a closing note, you could play Suicide Mouse or you might as well go play outside in the rain.
