Description

Off-road vehicles are designed to be as resilient as possible in terrible road conditions, as well as provide traction to every wheel to help the drivers get their cars out of sticky situations. However, they can be pretty difficult to manage as well, especially if you are not a very experienced driver. Hence, video games are a much safer environment to practice your off-road skills.

Complete missions and explore a large map

Full Off Road 2 is an arcade driving game in which you receive control over a 4x4 vehicle and left to explore a large map full of interesting sights and all sorts of wild animals roaming free. Unfortunately, the simulation is not very rewarding, not even in an arcade way, which is a bit of a bummer. Moreover, there are other inconveniences as well, all of which work together to make the experience feel a bit cheap.
To begin with, there’s no car selection panel, since there is only one of them. Hence, all you can do is be content with the vehicle you are provided with, even if it’s not the most interesting one. After that, the game faces you with a few missions you can undertake, each one of which takes you to a different part of a map, which is actually quite fun.

Boring driving experience and not enough challenges

There’s no sense in providing the players with a large off-road map and make it extremely easy to navigate, especially since there are no difficult hills or holes to put your skills to the test. The car is also very slow, which makes things even more annoying. Granted, there’s nowhere to sprint to, but it would be nice to see how the car fares when it needs to tackle the terrain at higher speeds.
As for the graphics, they are actually decent for a casual game sporting only a few megabytes, but don’t expect anything too grand either. The 3D objects and the special effects are pretty nice, but it’s a shame that the level design is a disappointing. In addition, the sounds are laughable as well, at least when it comes to engine effects and the environmental sounds.

A short distraction for casual gamers

All things considered, Full Off Road 2 could have done a much better job in the level design department, as well as make the car a little more difficult to drive. Hence, the game is just too tame and boring in its current state.
