Having the luxury of driving a car wherever you want is something many people dream of, given the fact that you need a lot of spare time, money for gas, and obviously a car. On the other hand, we have video games when real life is not exciting enough, and they can be a lot more fun. Not just that, but there are no safety concerns to worry about either.

Deev For Speed Car is a driving simulator that provides you with the opportunity to have as much fun as you want behind the wheel without any of the consequences. On top of that, you also have a pretty interesting collection of vehicles to choose from, depending on whether you want to drive a truck, a racing car, or a plain sedan with nothing special about it.
Unfortunately, the map is very boring and simple, which means that you might get bored after you try all the cars for a few minutes. There’s nothing interesting to see no matter where you go, given the fact that it’s just an open landscape full of desert, a basic highway and some hills you can climb. It would be nice to see more attention to detail, because exploration is not fun in these conditions.

Basic graphics and a simple damage model

The cars seem to obey a few basic physics principles, but don’t expect too much realism either. Although you cannot take corners at high speed or brake in a matter of inches, the game is still pretty arcade when it comes to how the cars react to your input and the environment around them. It doesn’t help that the map is so simple, because you are constantly just accelerating with nothing to hinder your progress.
As for the graphics, they are actually not very bad, but then again, there’s not a lot to see except for the cars. Thus, although it seems like the designers have some talent in this regard, they chose not to use it very much. Not a lot can be said about the sound effects either, because they could actually be missing entirely and the difference wouldn’t be noticeable.

A tantalizing concept that needs more work

All things considered, Deev For Speed Car might actually be up to something, but so far it doesn’t manage to impress. Thus, it needs a lot more work before the game can be called complete, let alone fun for more than a few minutes.
