Description
Cats are a vital part of the Internet, and it’s difficult to imagine it without our furry friends plastered on every website. Thankfully, there are no complaints in this regard, since everyone is more than happy to accept the cats as part of our modern society. Naturally, video games are not safe from our feline overlords either, so there are plenty of casual games out there that touch on the subject.
Use vicious cats to defeat monsters
Cat Defence is a tower defense game in which the goal is to defend your base from invading monsters by using a variety of warrior cats. The mechanics are about as simple as you would expect from a game with such a premise, but you can still have a lot of fun with it if you lower your expectations. Naturally, the replay value is pretty low, so don’t go in hoping for the type of experience that keeps you busy for hours.
There are three lanes you have to defend, and it’s important to keep an eye on all of them. Whenever enemies make an appearance on one of the lanes, you can drag-and-drop the desired cat and watch it fight the enemies in question. Each cat costs a certain amount of currency, and they also come with different abilities.
Choose the right kitten for the job
Speaking of which, the cats come with certain abilities you have to take into account, such as damage, defense and speed. Some are better suited to take on certain enemies, even if they do not deal the most damage. Naturally, fighting too many monsters at once takes its toll on your units regardless of their abilities, so that’s another thing to consider before deciding on a strategy.
As for the graphics, they are about as colorful and simple as you would expect, but they go very well with the mood of the game. On the other hand, the interface is clearly designed for touchscreens and mobile devices, although a mouse is pretty simple to use as well. Lastly, the music is not bad, but it has a tendency to get on your nerves after a few minutes.
The perfect distraction for boring afternoons
In the end, Cat Defence may not have the desired replayability to keep you coming back for more hour after hour, but it can be entertaining enough to provide you with a good time when you need it. In addition, it’s also very colorful and simple enough not to add to your stress level.
