Description
There are many old games that are still quite popular nowadays, whether in their original form or as modern remakes and spin-offs using new graphics. Hence, it should be no wonder that the brilliant Bomberman has been copied and remade countless times over the years. Now, you have the chance to play it in full HD resolutions as well, thanks to this sleek remake.
Defeat your friends and relive the magic of Bomberman
Bombzone Refueled is basically the same game as Dyna or Atomic Bomberman, only it uses modern graphics to make itself appear more appealing to the current generation of gamers. Hence, in case you have played the original, this should feel very similar, with basically the same rules and gameplay mechanics as before. Naturally, some changes are present as well, to keep up with technology.
To begin with, the game is designed to be played with your friends, since it works better when you’ve got someone to hunt through the levels. As such, the multiplayer mode is definitely the most refined component, even if there is a singleplayer component you can try out as well. In addition, up to five players can share the map at the same time, which makes for quite the show to watch and be a part of.
Customize the matches to fit your preferences
Before starting a game, you have the option to change almost everything about it, starting from the actual level and theme, all the way to the time limit, number of rounds to be played, and whether teams are allowed or not. As such, the experience can be customized according to your preferences, which is precisely what you want from a game that’s meant to be flexible and simple to tweak.
From a technical point of view, the visual quality is obviously miles ahead of the original titles, but don’t expect anything too unusual either. The perspective is the same and all that’s changed is the number of dimensions and the introduction of 3D models. Additionally, pretty post-processing effects make the graphics appear even more realistic, although the visual style is still very colorful and playful.
A successful remake with plenty of potential
Although Bombzone Refueled is not done yet, and there are plenty of improvements left to be implemented, it can still hold its own in most regards. As such, it can easily help you fill a night with your buddies, although the lack of more maps is a bit annoying as of right now.
