Description
Flappy Bird was a massive success back when it was first released, but it turned out to be the kind of success that only lasts for a few days before everyone moves on to other things. Originally a mobile game, Flappy Bird challenged the players to navigate difficult levels by simply tapping on the screen in order to keep the bird flying, a task which proved to be much more frustrating than it sounds.
Avoid obstacles and score as many points as possible
Crazy Bird Adventure is an arcade game that follows the same concept as Flappy Bird, and it even looks almost the same. However, you can enjoy it on your PC and take advantage of your mouse or your keyboard to control the bird, even if the mechanics are more or less the same. Naturally, you might wonder what keeps this game from ending up like the original.
The answer is nothing, because Crazy Bird Adventure makes no effort to include any kind of new gameplay mechanics. Instead, it’s just more of the same, so it’s actually just a reskin of Flappy Bird at the end of the day. Thus, the only goal is to stay afloat and win as many points as possible, which gets boring after five minutes of gameplay and a few dozen deaths.
An online leaderboard to store the records
Just in case you manage to hold on for more than a few minutes, your score might reach the top of the online leaderboards that are available for the game. It’s not much of an honor to have your name on them, on the other hand, mainly because there’s not a lot of competition to begin with. In addition, you don’t receive any kind of prize for scoring a lot of points anyway.
As for the graphics, there’s nothing special in this regard either, although this should be the developer’s last concern. Even if the game world is colorful, it lacks detail and variety, since it’s just a long slideshow of green pipes and clouds in the background. Not that better graphics would have made too much of a difference, on the other hand.
Everything you hated about Flappy Bird comes back to haunt you
In the end, Crazy Bird Adventure is not worth an install unless you haven’t played Flappy Bird when it was released. Even so, a newcomer is only going to last a few more minutes, because there’s nothing truly addictive or enjoyable about the game.
