Bill Hill vs Aliens

Meet Bill. A happily married farmer who’s enjoying his afternoon alongside his lovely wife and livestock while overlooking the rest of his glorious farm. Out of nowhere, a UFO appears, beams up his wife and chunky cattle and as it makes an exit, it stops for a brief moment to smash his awesome pickup truck. The truck part proves too much to handle so Bill gets his shotgun and goes after those punk aliens.

A wonderful game that makes you smile uncontrollably

Visually, Bill Hill takes the cake for cuteness without making you feel like you're playing a kiddie game. It looks like it’s made out of nicely cut and glued colored pieces of paper. Like you’re playing a cartoon made one frame at a time. It’s just wonderful to see.
When it comes to character animation, Bill Hill doesn’t stray far from the redneck pattern. He walks around shirtless in his overalls, displays a manly beard and has a bright red cap that slightly bounces around when he shoots his shotgun.
When it comes to the aliens, they’re to cute to be dangerous, and yet they are. Behind those goofy faces and big eye (one per alien) lie some real killers.

Great gameplay mechanics that make it so much more entertaining

In his rage-fit, Bill forgot to take some shotgun ammo with him so he has to improvise. Apart from rocks, Bill gets the great idea of stuffing aliens down the gun barrel and use them as projectiles. Since this is a cartoon/video game, that totally works and Bill is even capable of knocking out several aliens with one shot.
He can also use his gun to propel himself high in the air and disses out some pretty cool (incomprehensive) gibberish. He’s like the Chuck Norris of farmers.

Simple, elegant, clever and so very entertaining

Bill Hill vs Aliens is that game that you simply have to spread the word about. It’s not the most epic of platformers, neither is it all that challenging but it’s just too good and well made.
It’s the kind of goofy that makes you want to keep playing until you hold the aliens accountable for what they did to your truck. Oh, and also get the cows back, and the wife too, maybe.
