A lightweight racing game with few cars and tracks

Ultra Nitro Racers is a small game with minimal system requirements. It can run on most modern operating systems and it uses little computer resources.
The game offers a number of five racing cars from the early 90's and ten tracks to test your driving skills. From this point of view, it is limited and you will not be very busy with it. You cannot customize the cars in any way and there are no difficulty settings.

Twitchy control system and annoying visuals that distract you

The help file offers you all the information you need to handle your vehicle on the tarmac. The controls are standard, except for a nitrous button. You cannot change the gears manually and you would not have the time for it. Your opponents will hit the nitrous from the start and you are required to do the same to keep up with them. The controls are very sensitive and if you squeeze a button too much, the car will perform an exacerbated action; hitting the brakes too hard will stop the vehicle completely.
The graphics are poor compared to what else is out there on the market. The designs are roughly sketched and the rendering is unrealistic. The game displays a lot of messages that distract you from driving. The sounds do not match the action you are performing on screen and the background noise is not that pleasing.

A dull and limited arcade game

To put it briefly, Ultra Nitro Racers is an overly simplistic racing game. You have very few cars and repetitive tracks. The graphics disappoint and the twitchy controls will test your patience. However, the game is free to use and you can give it a try.
