With the proper skills and experience, you can achieve amazing feats behind the wheel, as it was proven so many times over the years. On the other hand, they can also be exceptionally dangerous, although it is almost always due to reckless driving.

Drive as fast as you can without fearing the consequences

Traffic Race 3D 2 is an arcade racing game that allows you to get behind the wheel and not care too much about speed limits. This is mostly aimed at the casual market, given the fact that realism is barely part of the overall picture. However, it can also be the perfect way to relax a bit after a hard day, regardless of whether you are a hardcore racing fan or a total beginner.
There are multiple stages you have to pass, each one of which features a different set of rules. In some races you need to navigate a busy highway and get to the finish line in one piece, while in others you just have to go around the circuit and stay in front of the competition. There are also rally rounds, in which the terrain is a bit more rugged and demanding, not to mention slippery in corners.

Arcade gameplay mechanics and basic graphics

You don’t need to worry about driving according to any known laws of physics, because the game is as arcade as it gets. The car slips a little bit in corners if your speed is too great, but you can still force your way past them with ease. In case there are opponents you have to beat, it’s easier to just cut the corners and jump in front of them, because there are no penalties whatsoever for doing so.
The technical aspects of the game as just as basic as the gameplay, which means that it looks pretty modest. This is partly because it’s mostly designed for the mobile market, but that shouldn’t really be an excuse. Thankfully, at least you are allowed to use a gamepad instead of the keyboard, but it doesn’t make too much of a difference, since the controls are just as twitchy on whatever you decide to use.

The perfect cure to a boring afternoon

In the end, Traffic Race 3D 2 is definitely not a simulator that teaches you how to drive, since nothing about it makes sense in the real world. However, if you need a distraction one afternoon and you don’t mind excessive simplicity, this might very well be the answer.
