Flail Rider

‘Getting Medieval’ takes an entirely new meaning with Flail Rider, a lightweight Lundum Dare 32 creation. The game has you driving a tiny car that has a giant flail attached to it, and as you guessed by now, you have to destroy stuff with it.

As if driving wasn’t hard enough, now you have to swing flails at buildings for money

In Flail Rider things are very simple but not really. You control a yellow car that has a flail swinging from the rear. Your job is to drive around and give that big chunk of spiked steel the momentum it needs to swing and hit buildings, trees and billboards.
Every piece of property and nature that you destroy turns into cash rewards for you to enjoy so the more you demolish, the better off you are. You won’t be able to do anything with the money but you can enjoy watching the amount grow.

It’s a whole lot tougher than it looks, but it’s equally fun

Flail Rider looks very cute with its low-poly design and colorful graphics but it’s far from easygoing. Driving with a flail sticking out of your car will be a pain, one with which you’ll have fun.
It takes a good deal of skill and patience to fully grasp the controls and how you should play to get the good but the learning process is definitely fun. You’ll hold your breath most of the time, praying that you don’t crash the tiny vehicle in a tree or a building. Getting run over by the flail won’t hurt you but denting the car just a bit means game over.
