Description
Shooters are not difficult to figure out and they are quite simple to make nowadays, especially with all of the available tools and engines out there. However, sticking a gun in a guy’s hand and aiming it at a few bad buys is not enough for a game to be fun, which is why such games usually require an entire team of designers, artists, writers and coders.
Eliminate the terrorist threat as efficiently as possible
Killing Shooter is a casual shooter in which your main purpose is to kill the enemies that pop in and out of existence on the screen, while surviving the missions yourself. In fact, this is more of a reflex-based shooter than anything else, because it doesn’t feature a story or any characters, just a few copy-pasted enemies and a hovering submachine-gun as a placeholder for your character.
One of the first annoyances you have to confront with is the fact that you can basically shoot anywhere in the vicinity of the enemies in order to kill them, which kind of takes the skill out of the entire thing. To make matters more boring, every playthrough is the same, meaning that the enemies pop out in the same order and the same location every time you decide to replay the missions.
Not enough content to keep you entertained
If you manage to get over the fact that the gameplay is too easy and predictable, it’s still for nothing, because the entire game can be finished in about four minutes, if you take your time. There are no upgrades you can buy along the way, no new weapons to try out, at no point does any type of new enemy make an appearance, and the environment changes only once.
Speaking of which, the visual quality is atrocious as well, starting from the awful animations and the silly perspective tricks, all the way to the loading screens, which are borrowed from other games anyway. To top things off, there are sound effects for the guns as well, which sound nothing like a weapon and seem to be in a low bitrate as well.
Try your luck with something else instead
All in all, Killing Shooter features about thirty seconds of fun, which is about the time it takes you to start the game and realize that nothing good can come out of it. Hence, you would be much better trying something else, preferably something that put more effort into its name.
