Arcade games come in all shapes and sizes, and you can quickly find your preferred genre. The Angry Birds Hunter is an indie game that allows you to shoot the birds from the franchise.

Hunt the Angry Birds and record you high scores

The gameplay is straightforward and easy to grasp. Using your mouse, you shoot the all the bird characters from the Angry Birds. You can reload the gun by right-clicking. There are several weapons at your disposal to help you kill the birds; a revolver, a shotgun, a sniper rifle and grenades make up your hunting arsenal.
The game is not difficult. It offers only one level, and you must shoot as many birds as you can to increase your score. The birds come in waves comprised from one to five characters. You must select the right weapon for the task at hand. The birds have the same abilities as in the original game; if you shoot an electric bird, it will roast all other characters in its vicinity; when shot, the bomber hen will lay an egg that can also be targeted.

The graphics are poor when compared to other games out there. The resolution is small, and the textures are pixelated. There is little improvement brought to the characters, which are almost the same as in the Angry Birds franchise. The animations are fun to watch as the birds disappear in a bunch of feathers. The sounds are well chosen, and each gun has a different action sound. You can also anticipate the birds that will appear from the sound they make when slingshot.

A game with limited features but fun to play

In summary, The Angry Birds Hunter is a quirky game and worth a shot. However, you will not spend too much time playing it since there are a few drawbacks: there is only one level to play, the graphics are standard and some actions are delayed.
