Description

Planning a good defense is always a good idea, even if it seems like you have no enemies that would dare attack you. This is true in video games as well, because it’s not always safe to base your entire strategy on a strong offense. In fact, you can really get on your opponent’s nerves by fortifying your base and dragging the match for much longer than necessary.

Save the villagers from the invading monsters

Little Tower is a tower defense game in which you have to make sure your village survives the monster invasion by erecting all sorts of towers and upgrading them. The task gets significantly more difficult later on when the enemies get stronger, but then again you also have the money for much more powerful structures, as well as enough cash to upgrade them a couple of times.
There are multiple types of monsters as well, depending on whether they move on the ground or fly through the air. Obviously, you need the right towers to tackle them, but some are more than capable to attack both types of enemies, so that’s not a huge dilemma most of the time. In fact, you can forget about building air-specific towers in many levels, which kind of defeats the whole purpose.

Basic graphics and simple interface

Naturally, you need gold to build and upgrade your towers, and you gain gold by simply killing the monsters. However, you can also pick up bonus resources that drop from the monsters you kill, and they also drop a couple of power-ups as well. Hence, some allow you to stop time and hold the enemies in place for a few seconds, while other power-ups increase the abilities of your towers.
Lastly, the graphics are not exactly top-notch, but they don’t usually need to be in a tower defense game. As long as you are having fun building things and stopping each wave of enemies, the visual aspect is not all that important in the end. Moreover, the interface and the controls are intuitive and simple-to-use as well, making it easy to start playing right away.

Slow action and repetitive levels

Unfortunately, Little Tower’s greatest drawback is the very slow pace, because it takes ages to finish a level. That wouldn’t be too much of a problem if the levels posed a challenged, but it seems like everything is very easy if you build enough towers, and there’s always money for that.
