Description
Space Station 5 is a first-person shooter that puts you in the middle of an alien invasion of an off-world station. Your only solution is to shoot your way out and survive hoards of enemies.
A straightforward FPS with minimalistic gameplay
The game allows you to play a single player campaign or a survival mode. You cannot play with other players over LAN networks or Internet servers. From this point of view, it is significantly limited.
The gameplay is straightforward. You are provided with a weapon, corresponding ammunition, and scores of enemies. It cannot get any simpler than that. However, you will notice the lack of crosshairs, a minimap and any other sources of information that would make your life easier.
Find your way on your alien-infested station
The story line is very sketchy. You are playing a sergeant in an unknown army, who happens to be caught in the middle of an alien invasion. There is no background information with which players can relate to or any purpose to your actions. The only thing you are sure of is that you have to shoot.
The game also lacks in the graphics department. All the enemies you kill end up exactly in the same position, the animations are interrupted, and the aliens seem static. A series of elements have been reused in multiple chambers, so you will get a lot of deja-vus. Moreover, the characters you are supposed to interact with are not marked in any way, meaning you have to check every NPC on the way.
A limited shooter with few features
Overall, Space Station 5 is a poorly designed FPS that has an entire suite of glitches. There is no story behind it, and you do not have enough features to play with to keep you entertained.
