Description
Zombies are the perfect plot device for action games, mainly because the writers can add as many of them as they wish without working on background stories or anything of the sort. On the other hand, it’s not an easy task either, because the rest of the story must be enjoyable enough to keep the players engaged over long periods of time.
Use your weapons to suppress a zombie attack
Night Agression is a simple first-person shooter in which the main goal is to keep yourself alive at all costs. Don’t expect too much of a story, since the whole action revolves killing zombies as quickly as possible without paying attention to anything else in the process. Naturally, this gets boring fairly quickly, especially if you are used to better games.
To begin with, the first levels provide you only with a melee weapon, which is not exactly what you would prefer in a fight against vicious undead creatures. On the other hand, the sword can still cause a lot of damage if you learn how to use it properly. The zombies are not too smart either, which means that you can take advantage of their poor programming to kill them with ease.
Simple and unimpressive level design
The gameplay mechanics are not particularly exciting either, given the fact that there is no variety when it comes to objectives or the actual shooting. The small maps get repetitive after only a few minutes, and the terrible AI take the challenge out of the experience as well. On the other hand, at least you get to kill a few zombies if you have nothing better to do.
The graphics are quite bad too, mainly because of the level design, because the actual engine is not too terrible. However, the lack of imagination in regards to world design and the maps themselves encourages you to stop playing after only a few minutes. The sound effects are nothing to write home about either, but they matter very little in this case.
A poorly-designed shooter with repetitive gameplay
In the end, there’s nothing about Night Agression that makes it worth your while, not even if you are bored of every other shooter out there. Thus, it’s a better idea to just re-play an old classic than to bother with this.
