As everyone can probably attest, friendships are difficult to maintain sometimes, especially if things are happening in your life that require you to focus on something else entirely. In certain situations it’s much easier to just go on your own than wait for help for your friends, but other times it’s almost impossible to make it without a bit of help and comfort.

A high school student recovers from an accident

Lost Impressions is an interactive visual novel in which you play the role of a boy learning how to look at the world a second time, which allows him to judge things differently than he normally would. On top of that, you get the chance to make decisions for him, which means that you can replay the experience and see how different choices affect the story and the relationships between characters.
The story is not exactly brilliant, but it’s interesting enough to jumpstart your imagination and provide you with some food for thought. As such, you play the role of a high school student who’s recovering after a nasty accident. This accident leaves him without memories, which is why he must get acquainted with his friends again and learn about the world.

Develop romantic relationships and make the desired choices

Choices are pretty important in Lost Impressions, at least when it comes to how the story evolves. Most of your decisions affect the romantic outcome, in the sense that you please or upset certain characters by choosing to do one thing instead of the other. Hence, you can replay the game and see multiple endings, as well as get involved with a different character every time.
As for the graphics, you can rest assured that the artwork is very pleasant, albeit a bit different than you would expect in regards to character design. Most of the backgrounds are pleasant, but some of them are actually photos with Photoshop filters on top, which is not very nice. Thankfully, the soundtrack is smooth and relaxing, which is always great in a visual novel.

When it’s all said and done, Lost Impressions is not the greatest visual novel out there, but it can be the perfect thing for those who are going through a tough time. In addition, it might teach you a few things about relationships and human nature.
