Description
Tower of Hanoy Solitaire is a good combination of two very different games that brings together two interesting concepts.
The Tower of Hanoy is a very straightforward and simple game that doesn’t require a lot of thinking, especially if you’re only limited to nine pieces and three columns. The idea is to arrange the pieces in the order of their size, with the least number of possible moves. Usually, the difficulty is raised by adding more pieces and another column, but there are other ways.
Another method of upping up the difficulty is to introduce another element entirely, which in this case is a game of solitaire. It might seem like a weird choice, but the truth is that it works, and it actually makes a really old math problem much more interesting. In fact, if you think about it, assigning numbers to the pieces from the Tower of Hanoi is happening already.
Not as easy as it looks
Having numbered pieces seems to make the gameplay somewhat easier, at least at first glance, but in fact, it’s just the opposite. Besides the obvious moves, players not also have to respect some solitaire rules.
The object of the game is to arrange all the cards from 9 to ace, and only the cards between these values are used, and only from one color. Nothing else is available, and there is no deck of cards that needs to turned.
It’s only possible to move the pieces from a smaller value to a bigger value. The developers are saying that all games can be won, but it will take a lot of moves. Ideally, the Tower of Hanoy Solitaire can be finished with a small number of moves each time, which is the reason all the high scores are the same. Tower of Hanoy Solitaire is surprisingly good, and it doesn’t extend any kind of help to the players. There are no hints and no undo function. It’s based on Adobe Air, and the installation process will get this dependency as well, which means hat you will have to be connected online to finish the installation.
