Alhambra Solitaire

There are all sorts of Solitaire variations, and Alhambra Solitaire is just one them. Fortunately, it’s one of the most interesting variants.
For the most part, all Solitaire games have the same basic idea behind it. Players need to put order into one or more deck of cards that are displayed in a certain order. Some of the cards are left to chance, so it’s not possible to finish all games of solitaire. Cards are discarded and stacked only in order, but that order might depend on the game being played.
Alhambra Solitaire is one of the more complex modes, so completing the game is actually quite difficult. Unlike the classic solitaire, this played with multiple card decks, two to be more exact, so it adds to the complexity of the game. It’s not always possible to finish a regular version of Solitaire so you can imagine that you’ll have plenty of chances to fail a game that has two desks and much more precise stacking rules.

The score matters

The goal would be to finish the game and make sure that all the cards have been stacked, but the sheer number of cards displayed and the numerous piles ensure that you can only aim for the high score and not for the perfects score.
The only way to make points is to stack the cards in the right pile, so the entire game you’re actually considering if you can discard a card that you just draw. Once the card has been drawn and placed in the junk deck you won’t be able to return to it, so you need to be very careful of each choice.
The game also lacks any kind of undo feature, so if you’re made the wrong move, then you can’t go back to correct it.
Alhambra Solitaire is a very light game that has no other requirements than an initial online connection to download and installs Adobe Air. After that, it no longer requires an online connection, and you can play it completely online.
If you keep in mind that you won’t be able to finish it and that you just need to get a high score, then you will probably enjoy it.
