Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Hyperstone Heist is an emulated version of the SEGA classic that dazzled players a few generations back. Although, even if it’s an old game, TMNT: The Hyperstone Heist is still a great beat’em up sidescroller to play.

The story starts off with April O'Neil who is reporting in New York when all of a sudden, Manhattan Island is shrunk and Shredder takes claim for this event. He is now in control of the Hyperstone and threatens the world once again with his reign of evil. It’s up to you to choose between the ninja turtles and defeat him before he completes his despicable plans.
Like with most old-school sidescrollers, after that little piece of plot, the remainder of the game is pretty much all about defeating the countless enemies that come your way, trying to stop you from, well, stopping them. The game features five levels, New York City, A Mysterious Ghost Ship, Shredder's Hideout, The Gauntlet and The Final Shell Shock, each with its unique design and brand of forces to combat.

Simple and entertaining gameplay

Seeing as how we’re talking about a game that’s been released in the 90s, you can’t expect jaw-dropping graphics and ultra-fast gameplay but you can prepare yourself for some challenging fights and funny moments.
In the game you will be able to pick between any of the four ninja turtles and fight your way to a victorious ending. Each of them has their unique fighting style and even though their jump attacks and dashes are the same, they still feel unique when you play with them. There are delicious pizzas to collect to restore your health, powerups that unlock your full combat potential and plenty of amusing world interactions.

Considering it’s over two decades old, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Hyperstone Heist is one of the core games that you have to play if you’re looking for an honest arcade experience. Moreover, you can double the fun, it supports two players in co-op mode.
