Stealth Bastard is a very neat little action platformer in which you have to keep stealthy if you want to stay alive. The game pitches you in a lot of levels that get tougher and tougher as you go along while not becoming less enjoyable.

In a lot of cases stealth games offer slow-paced to almost tedious gameplay but Stealth Bastard is nothing like that. It’s more in the line of a stealth-speedrun-puzzle game in which one small mistake or one extra fraction of a second of standing still will cost you your little digital life.
In terms of gameplay, things are easy when it comes to controlling the little stealth master, interacting with switches, panels and so on. Jumping and moving around won’t be a problem but timing is everything in this game. There are a lot of moments when you’ll be holding your breath while making even the smallest move.

Like most games, Stealth Bastard also comes to an end but you can still keep playing. It’s built with a level editor that gives you the freedom to design your own extra tough challenges. The editor is very easy to use and if you have a bit of creativity by your side, there is a lot you can do with it.
Adding and removing objects is a breeze and you will be able to test the patience or skill of anyone who is into stealth platformers in no time. It really is a great feature to have on a game such as this one because after you beat every developer designed level, you might feel the need to keep going. It adds a lot of replayability value to the game.

A great example of a really good game

Stealth Bastard will annoy and maybe even make you rage from time to time but it’s a well balanced and polished game. The animations are great, gameplay is easy to learn but tough to master and the levels are just the right kind of difficult.
