Rune Masters

As you start the campaign, you will be given the chance to choose between six different characters: Trigoth Hunter, Master of Arms, Knight, Scout, Priest, and Thief. Each character comes with different stats as well as his own special ability that can give you various bonuses during battles.
If you're new to the game, you can choose to play the tutorial before starting the real adventure in the land of Navaroth. Playing the tutorial not only shows you the core mechanics of the game, but also provides you with some extra experience points to start your adventure with a small level boost.

Defeat the Rune Warriors

As soon as you're done with the tutorial, you'll have the chance to engage in battle with your first Rune Warrior, however, if you think you're not prepared for this fight, you can still battle a few monsters to increase your level and improve your stats.
Battles use a Match-3 system in which you'll have to connect three or more runes of the same type to deal damage to your enemy. Depending on how many runes you match and the chain reactions created, you will deal more or less damage. Make sure you act fast, because if you take too long to make your move the enemy can quickly take over and attack you.
A few battles later, your hero will also gain the possibility to use any of the four available abilities depending on the ones you spend your skill points on. Using these abilities will grant your hero various perks that could heal and protect him as well as dealing extra damage to your enemy.

Become a Rune Master

Rune Master manages to provide a decent approach to the Match-3 genre blending the usual gameplay with various RPG elements that add up to the fun. The game requires quick thinking and the battles can be quite challenging even at the beginning, but that won't stop you to become a real Rune Master.
