Description
If you're still fond of those retro-style side-scrolling runner games you should give this one a try. Robby is a fun platformer in which you take the role of a small robot chased by the camera.
Against all odds
While playing Robby you will have only one task: survive as long as possible. That might sound easy, but Robby is constantly chased by the camera and if it falls behind it will be destroyed in an instant.
So, arm yourself with patience and try to help Robby avoid as many traps as possible to give him a chance of survival even if this means only for a few more seconds before the sharp spikes and other traps destroy its circuits.
Run to survive
To overcome all obstacles, the little robot can move, jump, slide and even glide if you manage to survive long enough to see it. As soon as you get passed an obstacle or a trap your score will automatically increase, but for a bigger boost you will have to collect as many gears as possible because they're worth 10 points each.
To keep things fresh, the game offers infinite randomly generated levels that follow a specific set of rules which sometimes might give only a slight variation in color while you struggle to survive on almost identical paths as you previous playthrough.
Is it worth it?
For the moment, the game is still in development, so many of its core features might not be implemented or you could run into a few bugs, but during our gameplay everything worked smoothly. If you like arcade runners you should give Robby a try and you'll see it can be quite fun for a while.
