Description
Ortho Robot is a neat little puzzle game that allows you to intertwine 2D and 3D gameplay. In it, you have to manipulate the perspective in which you view your character and the world he is in. Using this mechanic you can create bridges between spaces which wouldn't be possible otherwise.
The gameplay is easy to master, but the puzzles are tough
Ortho Robot starts simple enough with a few introductory levels that let you understand the mechanics and what you have to do. You quickly familiarize yourself with how the perspective can be changed, and in a matter of minutes, it all becomes very clear to you.
The good thing is that each level is different, and although the mechanics are the same every time, no two levels look alike or have the same kind of pattern. Every new one you play is considerably harder than the previous one and towards the end, they get to you.
It’s a shame that it’s so short
Ortho Robot hooks you after a few levels but, unfortunately, there are 16 in total. You won’t complete the game in 20 minutes but for those who enjoy puzzle games, this is not good news.
In each level, you have to make your way to a green block in the fastest time possible. After you complete a level you can retry it to improve your speed and at the same time, you can opt to collect a few gold coins for that extra bit of challenge. But even attempting to perfect the time on each level still leaves Ortho Robot short of thirty or so levels.
Conclusion
To end, Ortho Robot is an above decent game that you have to play if you’re into puzzle games. It’s not that complex, but it is challenging enough to get a sense of satisfaction after completing each level.
