Thus, the investigators that analyze the scenes in question must adhere to strict rules, such as not to touch anything, or disturb the layout of the room. However, it may be tricky to do so sometimes, especially when the clues are hidden from sight.

Notice Me Detective is a pretty relaxed adventure game with mystery/exploration mechanics, in which you play the role of a detective by the name of Buh. His task is not a very glamorous one, given the fact that he usually deals with pretty tame cases, but the actual experience can be very fun and engaging. In addition, the gameplay is designed to be permissive and open to any kind of approach.
Story-wise, there is not much of a plot, since the characters have rather limited personalities. However, you do have the opportunity to meet a few interesting individuals, as well as change partners every now and again. The cases are intriguing as well, you shouldn’t expect anything close to Sherlock Holmes. In fact, you usually have to deal with pretty simple occurrences involving break-ins and burglars.

Interact with the environment and explore it as you see fit

As mentioned earlier, the game is quite open to exploration, although you obviously cannot get out of the house you are investigating. There’s nothing to stop you from visiting every inch of it, or to interact with a variety of objects, such as lamps, books and toys. You can usually just pick them up and throw them away, but it’s enough to make you believe that you have total control.
Visually, the graphics are rather weird, although from a design point of view. As an example, the characters are actually cubes, and they do not have any arms or legs. The environments are pretty weird as well, although they certainly look nice. There is even a decent physics engine in place to take care of the objects you throw around, which is a nice touch.

A relaxing adventure for puzzle enthusiasts

In the end, Notice Me Detective is a tad weird in some aspects, but that shouldn’t stop you from having a lot of fun with the game. Hence, if you enjoy solving crimes and finding clues at your own pace, this game is certainly worthy of a shot.
