Being a child is easy and fun, since all you have to do is eat and play all day long. There are many fun games you can enjoy with other children as well, such as tag and a few other activities that involve running. On the other hand, it may not always be possible to go outside and play, due to bad weather or many other circumstances.

Play tag in a virtual environment

LOUP is a fun and casual video game, in which your only goal is to run around a playground and try to either touch the other children in order to tag them as the wolf, or run from the wolf as fast as you can. There’s not much else to the game, but there are a few ways you can increase your score and avoid being the wolf for extended periods of time.
To begin with, playing as the wolf provides you with additional speed, which makes it bit easier to catch up with the other kids. On the other hand, the rest of the children are controlled by the computer, which means that their movement is precise and quick. You can still catch up to them, but you need a little practice beforehand. The same goes for when it is your time to run from the wolf.

Pick up juice boxes to activate your special ability

Whenever you have to run from the wolf, you can pick up the juice boxes around the playground. These allow you to hide in plain sight for a few seconds, which is enough to disorient the wolf and get away. Since these juice boxes respawn on a regular basis, you can pretty much do this ad infinitum, as long as you don’t make mistakes or forget to synchronize your movements.
As far as the visual quality is concerned, the graphics are obviously pixel-based, but they are cute and inviting. There’s not much to the level design either, while the characters are just random kids that can barely be distinguished from one another. However, at least the controls are spot on, especially since you can even use a dedicated controller, which should come in handy for children who cannot master the keyboard yet.

A fun game for little children in need of activity

All things considered, LOUP is too simple and repetitive to be any fun for a grown up, but it can be the perfect solution for a small child. In addition, it also looks nice, so it should catch the eye of any youngster.
