Description
Many of us would not find it too surprising if humans managed to turn the Earth into a radioactive wasteland within the next few hundred years, and it is interesting to imagine what an advanced alien race might think if they found what we left behind. Minilens is a fun puzzle platformer that puts you in the shoes (or wheels) of an alien robot on a mission to clean up the Earth and gather the remaining flora for research purposes.
Tidy up the planet and collect some pretty flowers in the process
It is unclear whether the aliens are trying to prepare the Earth for their arrival, but they seem intent on getting rid of all the radioactive waste, and they are also quite fascinated by the flora that has managed to survive.
Your main goal is to destroy all the radioactive barrels, either by throwing then over the edge of a platform or blowing them up with bombs. However, the flowers scattered throughout the level should not be ignored, and you need to ensure all your actions are performed in the right order if you want to collect them all.
Everything was accounted for, except for gravity
It may seem strange that an advanced alien race would neglect to prepare themselves for dealing with Earth’s gravity, but you will just have to be very clever and plan your moves in advance to avoid getting stuck.
There are quite a few objects that you can take advantage of, however, to make the robot’s job a little bit easier. Ladders are fairly commonplace, as are the teleporters that seem to have been left behind by an advanced human civilization.
Multiple level packs that should keep you entertained for quite some time
Aside from the first ten levels, which serve to introduce you to the game’s mechanics, there are six more level packs for you to enjoy. While the tutorial is very simple, things get a lot more difficult later on.
You will probably need to press the Retry button very often while progressing through the levels, as they can normally only be completed if you collect or destroy the available items in a specific order. Minilens does a lot of things well, and it is a title that pretty much anyone can enjoy. It is more of a puzzle game than a platformer, and it offers quite a few levels for you to think your way through.
