Description
Everyone dreams of flying at one point or another, especially after you realize how trapped you really are. Granted, people have managed to use their intelligence to achieve much more than flight, given the fact that we are now capable of going into space and hauling hundreds of people through the air using machines made of steel.
Navigate treacherous levels and survive the traps
I may die! is a challenging platformer in which you play the role of a gummy bear trying to get out of a cave system spanning for miles. The gameplay mechanics are more or less the same as in every other platformer out there, which means that your goal is to jump, avoid obstacles and make it to the other end of the level in one piece. In fact, there are many things missing, but the game is still being improved and completed.
As mentioned before, the story revolves around a gummy bear that wants to fly, except that he finds himself falling into a dark pit as he admires the blue sky. It turns out that the pit in question leads to a cave system, which is also full of traps and enemies. Obviously, the goal is to get out alive and well, but the game is simple enough for that not to be a major problem.
Climb on walls and avoid the monsters
Most of your troubles are related to the lava pits and the spikes that block your way, but there are also enemies you have to watch out for. Some of them have ranged attacks that make your life hell if you stay in one place for too long, but they are also quite easy to counter with the right approach. Hence, the difficulty level is not that high, especially if you are even slightly experienced with platformers.
As for the graphics and everything else in this regard, the game is as simple as it gets, although that shouldn’t be too much of a problem. If you manage to concentrate on the gameplay, everything else fades away in the background, which is great when everything else is just black with the occasional red. In fact, the game could use a facelift, at least after the gameplay is polished to a shine.
A good concept that could use some work
When it’s all said and done, I may die! may very well keep you engaged for a while, but it lacks the polish to stick with you for longer than that. Hence, the game needs some work before it can be called complete
