Ferrari Virtual Race is a driving simulator in which you will be able to get behind the wheel of three famous Ferrari cars. The F612 Scaglietti, the 599 GTB Fiorano and the great looking 430 Scuderia are available at your fingertips and ready to be driven on the Mugello track.

Good looking simulator

Ferrari Virtual Race is in all aspects a visually pleasing game. The graphics are above decent, world details are nicely designed, lighting is well thought out and everything just seems to fit together.
Since the main attraction of the game are the cars, you can rest assured as the models are pretty accurate but on the downside, the engine sounds seems to have been disregarded as they all sound the same and make you feel like the cars have no soul under the hood.

Realistic control and car damage

Another feature that Ferrari Virtual Race seems to have given a lot of thought to and managed to pull off is handling and how a car behaves on the track. Like with all good driving simulators, you quickly learn that keeping the acceleration key constantly pressed won't get you to victory.
You’ll have to master the art of entering and exiting curves, anticipate how your car will react and most of all, keep an eye out for your opponents. Although, when it comes to the latter, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more polite AI in racing games, but maybe it’s because no one wants to wreck their very expensive car.
Speaking of, car damage in Ferrari Virtual Race is taken seriously, not only can you easily dent the body but one harmless crash can turn your Ferrari into a three-wheeler.

Few options in cars and tracks

All-in-all Ferrari Virtual Race is an above decent racing simulator but after a few runs you do feel the need for at least a second track on which to drive if not a fourth or fifth car. In the diversity department, the game might disappoint but it’s still worth a shot, it might surprise you.
