Dexterity Ball 3D

Here is a game with a very simple concept but built to annoy the heck out of you (in the good way). Dexterity Ball 3D is a platformer/puzzle game in which you will have to guide a ball through increasingly complex levels and collect a fixed number of gems.

It’s not called Dexterity Ball 3D for no good reason

The levels in Dexterity Ball 3D are relatively complicated, and in the true arcade sense, they get tougher as you advance throughout the game. The courses are full of jumps, ramps, holes and all kinds of other stuff to get into your way and make things harder.
That however is not the main thing you should concern yourself with, it’s the way you control the ball. You get the standard W,A,S,D keys to maneuver the ball, Space to jump and the mouse to look around to see where you're going, simple stuff, but the ball’s sensitivity to them will annoy you a lot at some point.
Keeping a direction key pressed for even a short time will accelerate the ball beyond your reflexes, making it really tough to control it. Moderation is the key with this game, short taps with well timed jumps are the only way you can succeed here. Panicking just makes things worse.

Good looking graphics and level design

Dexterty Ball 3D is an above decent game when looking at most of its features and mechanics. There are the occasional background animation glitches and the game seems really lag after a couple of minutes of gameplay but a quick restart is all you need to get things back on the right track.
It does need a bit of polishing here and there but looking at the bigger picture, Dexterity Ball 3D is a really well built out game. Sure, there are others like it but this one seems to have that frustrating level of difficulty that actually works in its favor because you quickly get addicted to the thought of completing the level.

A game that’s worth your time and patience

Like it should be with all games, the satisfaction of completing every level in the game is there and it’s totally worth all the effort you put into it. Dexterity Ball 3D hits the spot if you're looking for a good challenge.
