Description
Camp 1, a story about a very unlucky inmate who finds himself crashed in a remote, cold and isolated place as he makes his last fight off a drilling site. The game is a point and click that features the standard gameplay mechanics and a story that slowly but steadily unfolds.
The classic point and click game done right
If you haven’t played games from this genre before, arm yourself with a bit of patience before you take this one on. It’s not (very) hard, the story is not complicated, and it’s easy to follow up on everything you have to do. The only real issue with the game is the pace at which things happen.
From the point where you figure out what needs to be done, to clicking on where the protagonists has to be, to waiting until he gets there, to reading through the story, it all takes time. The action does move at a slow pace but if you’re in it for the story and the puzzles, then Camp 1 is worth it.
A game with good video and audio vibes
Since Camp 1 uses retro pixel style graphics, you can’t expect much from it from a visual point of view. For a game of this making and theme, don’t get us wrong, Camp 1 looks good, and it’s well polished.
As far as the audio is concerned, when it exists, it’s very good but there are several moments of silence that shouldn’t exist. Apart from those instances, the colors, design and sound effects come together to create one immersive point and click.
Conclusion
It’s hard to reach a conclusion about Camp 1 if you don’t play it to the end. If you’re a fan of the genre or not so much, play it, you won’t be disappointed.
