3D Tube Racer

3D Tube Racer is a simple racing game built on the Unity engine that provides a minimal gameplay experience and limited replayability.
Not all of the racing games are fun, and not all of them deserve the attention of gamers. For the most part, 3D Tube Racer looks and feels like just an attempt at making a racing game, but the developers have stopped middle way through making it. 3D Tube Racer starts, and it works, but there is little to no incentive to play it.
3D Tube Racer doesn’t offer much, but that’s to be expected since the game was made more for online use. The Unity engine can also produce games that can run directly in the browser, provided you are using particular browsers, and you have the right plugins installed.

Gameplay

I already mentioned that you won’t find any kind of replay value in the game, and if you already run this in the browser you won’t need to download and play it.
3D Tube Racer only features three different tracks, and each of them is more difficult than the previous one. In fact, the first one only has a donut shape, and the following two provide some sort of a challenge.
The player competes with the AI, which controls three of the other racers, which are just big spheres. The spheres have inertia and mass, but not in any meaningful way. The problems only appear when you touch the sides of the tubes, which slow you down. Also, missing the right entry in a corner is also a grave mistake.
Unfortunately, there is no multiplayer support, and you can only control the sphere with the keyboard. Since you’re moving in a 3D environment that is rather cumbersome.
3D Tube Racer was made in the Unity engine, so it doesn’t look all that bad. On the other hand, there are no details on the level and everything is rather bland. This is probably because they wanted the game to run properly in the browser window.
All in all, 3D Tube Racer feels like a waste of time, so unless you need to kill some time there is no real reason to try it.
