Description
Trials Legends is a 2D game in which you get to see how well you would do in a motorcycle trials competition. It features plenty of tracks, several bikes and enough struggle with the controls to keep you busy for a long time.
Gameplay that takes after the rules of the sport
In Trials Legends what you have to do should be obvious, meaningly complete a series of obstacle courses in the least amount of time possible. The gameplay is straightforward, and since it’s a 2D game, all you have to worry about are acceleration, stopping and most importantly, keeping your balance. Trials Legends provides a good deal of courses to try, and each one is tougher than the previous. At first, the game feels a bit strange and even easy but as you advance, you start to see that without Trial-like thinking, there’s no finishing some of the courses.
Play as a professional jello trials bike rider
Trials Legends is a nice game, decent actually, it really is. The downside to it is the way the riders look and move on the bike. It’s like they have no bones or that they’re made to exemplify jello physics.
And speaking of the latter, prepare for some frustrating physics. It’s not that they don’t mimic the behaviour of a real-life motorbike, it’s that the controls take a long, long time to master. Especially if you want to swap bikes during competitions because each one behaves differently.
Worth it for a few laughs
To wrap it up, Trials Legends is not a bad game, it’s just comes a bit short in some areas of design and animation. However, if you’re not the kind to play or look for perfect games, Trials Legends is worth your time.
