Take command of 75 unique vessels from three radically different races. Your mission is to lead the Proximan colonists back to Terra and to safety, and to wreak vengeance on those who have betrayed them. The action takes place throughout the galaxy, on a scale as massive as creation. A state-of-the-art custom engine allows 3D, real-time battles in enormous proportions. The Rift features motion based on Newtonian physics, imparting a sense of realistic space flight, including inertia, angular momentum, gravity, and mass. Dynamic, galaxy-wide 3D playfields provide a new twist on gameplay: the solar systems are always in motion, so the battlefield is always changing.

More than 50 unique personalities can pilot or captain your spacecraft, and there is cooperative pilot behavior throughout squadrons and formations. Stunning visual effects rendered in real-time 3D create detailed spacecraft, planets, asteroids, suns, nebulas, and other stellar objects. Watch this engaging, three-chapter storyline unfold and evolve over the course of more than 20 missions and solar systems. The Rift also features an intuitive, yet powerful 3D interface.
