Super Wolfenstein 3D

Right off the bat Super Wolfenstein 3D is purely an excellent piece of entertainment. It’s a first person-shooter that takes its inspiration from the classic Wolfenstein 3D game and brings it back to life in new clothes, actual physics and flawlessly humorous gameplay.

Throw a huge knife at a nazzi’s face and hear him shout Oktoberfest!

Super Wolfenstein 3D is one of the most laidback games you’ll ever have the honor of playing. It’s totally bonkers and super fun for something that was created in roughly 72 hours. It looks great, it plays better and the amount of laughs you get out of it is just priceless.
This take doesn’t mimic the original game room for room. It merely places you in an actual 3D environment that looks pretty much like that from Wolfenstein 3D and leaves you there to kill all the enemies until you’re done.
And now for the best part. Them physics! Every block that makes the game is completely destroyable (no, this is not Minecraft) and your enemies are incredibly clumsy but somehow great shots. I can’t really describe how goofy they look and move about or how well they drop to the floor when a knife greets their noggin. It’s just a blast to watch.

A game that doesn't take itself too seriously but your should

Though Super Wolfenstein 3D might seem harmless, you need to take it seriously. It’s a FPS that actually challenges you because you have a limited amount of ammo and a direct shot to the head doesn't really kill an adversary. Ammo management is real.
Aiming is important and unfortunately (but not really) these 3D block nazzis are so awkward in their movement that they dodge your bullets by sheer luck. It can get a bit frustrating because you just end up wasting ammo but you really can’t stay mad at this game. It’s just too good.

Honestly, whether you’re a Wolfenstein fan or not, this is one of the best things you can play

Not sure if it’s the humor behind the game, the destructible environment, the great graphics, the wonderfully physics system, the clumsy animations or the audio, but Super Wolfenstein 3D simply won me over. I know I’m repeating myself but this game is just too good.
