The story is very simple and unimpressive, but then again it’s designed to stay in the background and provide you with a random reason for all the explosions on the screen. As such, you play the role of a girl by the name of Paula Petticoat, who’s in a rush to make it to the Moonlight Party. However, a horde of enemies waits between her and her destination, which why she must move quickly and clear the way as fast as possible.

Level up and upgrade your weapons

Every enemy you kill drops a few colorful orbs that you can pick up, and these orbs provide you with experience. Naturally, experience allows you to level up and get more powerful, which actually means that your weapon is upgraded. This usually means more streams of bullets at the same time, but there are other types of upgrades later on as well.
As for the controls, you only need a handful of keys to enjoy the game, which is great for both hardcore players and beginners alike. On the other hand, the fast pace of the game might discourage newcomers, that’s for sure. In addition, the graphics are as simple as they can get, which might not be very attractive for the new generation of gamers.
