Description
Free Rider 2 is an interesting little game that lets you draw a level and afterwards go through it using one of several vehicle types. It’s a Flash powered game that lets you take total control of what happens and how it looks.
Free to draw anything you want
In Free Rider 2 you are given a few standard tools that can be found in graphic design software with which you can create the world you will ride in. You are free to draw a simple straight line, ramps to jump off of and curved surfaces to spin in. Basically, your creativity will determine how much fun you will have with the game.
Apart from building a track, you can also fill the background with a predefined theme and on top of it, draw various details. It does seem like a lot of work to put into a game when normally it should just offer you already made tracks so you can enjoy them but that’s part of the fun in Free Rider 2, you get to create the hardest or silliest obstacle tracks ever.
Keep in mind that physics do exist
Another feature that Free Rider 2 uses and goes well with the entire concept of the game is physics. In the game you will be able to use a mountain-bike, a mono-cycle, a car, a helicopter and even a hot-air balloon which you will have to maneuver across the terrain you create, all while keeping count of some pretty messed up physics.
The ugly part is that your little stickman seems to have a hard time with accurately controlling the vehicles and you crash or tip over very easily. On the plus side, the same stickman produces some pretty funny crashes.
A game you actually have to create
Free Rider 2 offers a rather unique experience for a game. It is a bit weird to have to create the levels yourself but then again, you're the only one who really knows what to expect from it, so why not design it.
