Strategy games are designed to be challenging most of the time, since they require a bit of planning when it comes to completing missions or defeating enemies. However, the formula can be simplified to cater to casual audiences as well, and there are actually dozens of strategy games out there that are easy to get into, but provide you with enough options to stay fun for hours on end.

Conquer the whole map and defeat your enemies

Elementals Reborn is a simple but addictive real-time strategy game with basic gameplay mechanics and colorful graphics, in which your goal is to control the map by conquering various structures. In order to do so, you have to amass as many units as possible and move them around without giving your enemy the opportunity to take hold of your structures.
Hence, every house on the map produces units as soon as you conquer it, and you can upgrade the structures in order to create even more of them. The only thing that decides the outcome of a battle is the number of warriors, so you do not have to worry about positioning, unit types or anything of the sort. This can also be annoying, on the other hand, since the gameplay gets repetitive after a while.

More structures appear later on

Besides the houses that can be conquered, a few other structures make an appearance as you go through the missions. As an example, towers allow you to keep the map under control a lot easier, but they are also a lot tougher to conquer, especially if the enemy gets there first. Since this is barely an alpha version of the game, more structures are probably going to be part of the full version.
As far as the graphics are concerned, they are not bad at all, but the level design is a bit too dull and basic. There’s nothing to look at but the buildings and the tiny elementals you move around the map, so you do not feel like progressing between missions. A multiplayer mode is in the works too, which should extend the game’s life even more.

A promising game with a few original ideas
