Description
In the far future a group of holy monks are traveling through the galaxy spreading their beliefs about divinity. While exploring a sector with a very bright star, the monk's ship finds itself attacked all of a sudden by a group of lizard-like creatures.
As a soldier under the command of her Holiness, you will have to do your best and save your people or destroy the ship to make sure none of those creatures escapes alive.
Shoot your way through waves of enemies
As you make your way through the ship to find out what happened to her Holiness, you will encounter lots of aliens who will try to kill you as they did with the rest of the crew.
If you survive it's all up to you and your pistol. Aim for the heads of the aliens and take them out as fast as you can before they get the chance to eliminate you. Keep in mind that you pistol can overload if you shoot continuously and it will need a short cooldown time before you will be able to use it again.
Enemies are not that varied and as you explore the ship you will encounter two different types of lizards as well as a more dangerous confrontation against their leader.
Besides the single player adventure, Illumina also offers the possibility to play the story in co-op mode alongside a friend via a LAN connection. While co-op should be twice the fun, the game fails to provide an increased challenge throwing at you the same enemies as in single-player mode.
Although rather short, Illumina manages to provide a fun FPS experience but the game can surely offer a lot more than this and expand the story upon these events.
