Besnat Rider is a basic racing game in which you have to stay alive by avoiding all the cars that stand in your way. There’s no way to slow down for some reason, so the only solution is to use your reflexes and perform quick maneuvers for as long as you can maintain your concentration. It’s not an original idea, but it can work if you have nothing better to do with your time.
There are all sorts of bonuses and extra points you can pick up as you go along, although by doing so you might also be at risk of colliding with the other cars. Since you cannot even afford one mistake at first, it’s important to calculate whether you have time and space to go for the bonuses. Granted, the points come in handy if you manage to gather enough of them.

Purchase upgrades to make your job easier

As mentioned before, the points accumulate between sessions, and they can be spent on upgrades for your vehicle. Granted, don’t expect too much variety in this regard, since the only things you can improve are the number of lives and change the color of the car. You still feel like your progress means something, which is a better deal than you get in most games.
Lastly, no sweat has been shed in the making of the game’s graphics, given the poor quality of the textures and the extremely repetitive levels. On the other hand, you have little time to concentrate on that, even if it gets difficult to stay excited when the levels never change. Furthermore, the controls could be more accurate, given the fact that you are supposed to put your reflexes to work.

A few good ideas and poor overall execution

Even if Besnat Rider can be rather fun for a short while, the truth is that the repetitive levels and lack of an actual challenge make it difficult to keep going for more than a few minutes. On top of that, the laggy input can cause a bit of frustration as well.
